As of January 1, 2013 our firm name changed from “Anastasi & Associates” to “Jellum Law.” Our new name signifies the growth of our firm and the election of three additional shareholders who represent the future leadership of the firm. The four shareholders at Jellum Law are Dave Anastasi, Nick Jellum, Garth Gavenda, and Josh Christensen.

Dave Anastasi founded the firm in 1996 and concentrates his practice on representing lenders in complex loan workouts and regulatory matters. In addition, Dave regularly represents small business owners on a variety of issues including mergers and acquisitions, mechanic lien disputes, and other day-to-day legal issues the firm’s small business clients face. Dave is also actively growing a mediation practice and is a qualified neutral under Rule 114 of the Minnesota General Rules of Practice.

Nick Jellum has been with the firm since January 2003, starting as a law clerk, and working his way up to becoming shareholder in April 2008. Nick’s leadership has and will continue to bolster the legal services our firm renders. Nick concentrates primarily in the areas of General Banking and Regulatory Issues, Commercial Loan Documentation and Government Guaranteed Loans.

Garth Gavenda has been with the firm since 2006 and became shareholder in 2011. With more than 11 years of experience, Garth leads our litigation team, focusing on litigating complex disputes involving banking, real estate, and small businesses. Garth also has led the development of our “flat fee” programs for consumer collection and foreclosure files and supervises our attorneys and staff working on these matters.

Josh Christensen joined the firm in 2007 and became shareholder in 2012. Josh mainly works on Loan Workouts, Real Estate Foreclosures, Collections, and Commercial Banking Litigation. Josh also assists small businesses in the areas of Landlord/Tenant Law and Real Estate Law.
